Gypsy Made Simple - Tri-Fold Puppy Card

Good day! Time to join me for Gypsy Made Simple where we learn to make all types of projects. This is such a fun little card to make and is sure to put a smile on the recipients face. I used my 3 Fold template and then added the artwork from Create A Critter. Now if you don't have that cart just use any cart you like to make a card. Now grab a cup of coffee, turn on your Gypsy, download this TEMPLATE, and let's get to work. Note the template is made from George. If you don't have that cart you will need to make your own base by making your own from a cart you have.

Now follow along as I take you step by step in the process of designing this card. Remember work with the page that says Empty and that you are looking at the INSIDE of the card. That is important as you will flip your art used on the base only and you will place your paper on the mat accordingly (front down, inside up).

Now that you have your card cut you can easily see how it gets put together. Make sure you score where the sections meet, and take the time to make all your pieces are inked and accentuated before you lay them down. Also make sure you do not use pop dots or foam tape on the inside section as you want your card to lay flat.

Look at the little heart in the word smile, I used a white gel pen and then added glitter so the card would have a little bling on it.

Again I used the gel pen to ad a little motion to my puppy... isn't he just too cute?

I used my Close To My Heart Olive ink pad on the roof line and around the edges of my sentiment area. Then I just added a few dots on the house to make it pop.

This is how the card looks when it is standing.... isn't it just too cute.

Here is a photo of both of the cards together. I was amazed at how fast they actually came together.
I how you enjoyed today's post, I sure enjoyed my time with you. This week I challenge you to make one of these cards and link it up. HERE is the template you just add you favorite items from any cart of your choice on the page marked Empty. Then link up your card so we can see what you did.
Thank your form your sweet sweet words of encouragement. You comments inspire me to continue to share with you.

Good Morning! Gina here with creationsbyGina.  Back for another post with a card made using Close To My Heart products. Click HERE if you would like to take a look at all the amazing products they have to offer!

Today's card is a very simple card made from the Dotty For You paper pack. These double sided papers all coordinate together, and the colors are just so fun. I have cut the card base to 5x5 and rounded the corners. The yellow layer was cut at 4x4. The diagonal strips were scrap pieces cut into one inch strips, then lined up and the edges trimmed off. The stamp set, A Tree from CTMH, was used for this card. Stamped on the green paper from the pack and hand cut. The butterfly and sentiment are also in the set.
I then added CTMH twine in Smoothie around the layer. This was easy to do as there was just the slightest edge from the layer, so the placement was straight. The cut out tree was then popped up on foam tape and placed over the twine for some dimension. I added some little stitch lines for the butterfly to show direction. For just a touch of bling, I added some Liquid Glass detail to the tree and sprinkled Prisma glitter before it dried. The card edges were inked with Blush ink and the images were stamped with Olive ink.
There are just a few days left in June. Just enough time to check out the CTMH promotion on stamp sets. It is buy 2 get 1 free of equal or lesser value. A great deal. We all need MORE stamps, right?!!!
I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Please come on over to my blog to say hello and have a look at some of my other creations. Your comments are welcome and inspire me!!!
 Have a great day!

Love You Forever

Happy Tuesday to you! Leah here and I have a LO to share. This picture of my three littles was taken on Mother's Day of this year and I was so excited to make a special page with it. I used the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge for the big label, the hearts, the little banner, the tab and the title. For the hearts I used one of the coordinating stamp sets you get when you purchase the Art Philosophy bundle. I love stamping on coordinating die cuts! The button is also from CTMH in Blush. Be sure to check out the page where you can shop with the wonderful CTMH consultants...click here. Thanks for coming by and I hope you are inspired.

At The Beach

Hello everyone!!  This is Nicole from Scraptastic
Memories blogspot here.
I got this paper from CTMH about a month
ago with this idea in mind.
My favorite place to go is the beach so it
made sense to add it to a shadow box
to see it every time I'm in my craft room.
I will add my personal beach picture later.

For this layout I used the Footloose Paper Pack and
 the great complimenting dimensional elements.

Here is the layout outside the box just waiting for
the picture!  The lettering I used is from the Cork
Alphabet and the circles are stamped with the

The wood shells are  Seaside Wooden Shapes  and
I painted them with Pearl Paint to give them a little
shine.  The bottle with sand is from Recollections
and the shells are from my trip to Destin, FL
which are priceless!!

I hope you enjoyed this projects and I encourage
you to create a shadow box with your memories.

Dotty for Dad

Hello again! It's Jamie from the Glitter Panda blog, glitterpanda.blogspot.com.  I hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day...I know we sure did. Today, I want to share the card I made for my wonderful father and my amazing husband. I was inspired by the 7" x 5" R Card artwork on the back of the Dotty for You paper pack. I found this card to be quite versatile, and I was able to make just a few changes to make it masculine instead of feminine.

I started with a 7" x 5" card base for both cards. One in Kraft and the other in yellow. For both cards I added the big dot paper as the background. This took the place of the butterfly paper from the back of the paper pack. I cut this later at 4" x 6" so it wouldn't show from behind the frame layer I added next.  I cut the frames using the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge <Rctngle1> image at 4". For the Kraft frame, I used the mini yellow polka dot paper and for the Yellow frame, I used the blue mini polka dot paper. Both the big dot layer and the mini dot layer were added with dimensionals to give the card a fun twist.

Before I added the frame layer, I turned it over and added some green ribbon to it so it would show though. I used my trusty liquid glass adhesive to secure it to the back and put the adhesive on the back of the frame so it wouldn't show. Then I added the dimensionals and attached the frame. Finally, I used my Cricut Wild Card cartridge to cut the Happy Father's Day sentiment at 9 1/2". That is the <father> image on page 66. Both my father and my husband loved the cards and I hope you do too!!  See you soon!

Panda Hugs!

Gyspy Made Simple - Challenged By The Sassy Dude To Duplicate This Awesome Shape Card

Good day, this is Sheila from She's A Sassy Lady. I sure hope all is well with you today and you are ready to tackle a BIG project! Bobby Hardgraves of The Cricut Couple designed an adorable little Scarecrow card and emailed me and said 'it would make a GREAT Gypsy Made Simple project Sheila'! Well I took on the challenge and let me tell you even with all the information that Bobby provided, this is not a simple project. But, don't worry I am sharing my file with you so even if you get lost trying to duplicate you have the actual file to fall back on so you can make a card! I warn you this is a LONG post with lots of videos, 4 to be exact. Trust me this will be the hardest project of the summer! So let's get to work. Grab a large cup of coffee and turn those Gypsy's on on lets get right to work.

Position all your pieces as shown on Bobby's photo.
I followed Bobby's instructions to the letter as follows:
To start with, you have to cut shapes that are going to be the layers you add on the front of the card. The following are the cuts you will need.

The hat is from Paper Dolls for Everyday. Cut 2 at a height of 8.50 (this is an accessory layer, so you really have to blow it up big). You will need one for the hat (denim paper) and one for the hat ribbon (leather look paper). For the hat ribbon, cut the hat and then use a craft knife or scissors to remove this piece from the overall cut.
The circle is from CTMH AP and cut at a height of 4.00. I used cream colored card stock.
The bandanna is from Old West and cut at a height of 4.30. I used bandanna card stock.
The hay is from Pop Up Neighborhood. This is a circle exclusive cart, so if you don't have it, there is a grassy type piece on Pooh and Friends that would work too. For the P.U.N. cuts, you need two at a height of 3.90 and one at a height of 4.60. These are cut from a golden card stock (dark yellow).
Note the photos are of Bobby's Gypsy also.

After I had that done then it was time to get different parts in the right position. Add a layer with your Gypsy and copy one of all shapes over to the next page. Then you need to contour out the inner cuts on the bandanna and hat. Place them all together and then weld them. Please follow along in this video as it will be easier to understand.
It will look like this when completed:

Bobby did such a good job of explaining this on his Gypsy that I am using his photos.

Now let's start putting all our piece together.... You will see very quickly that there is a lot of prep work. All edges need to be inked, the flower needs to be coloring and cut out, the face made and the straw colored to look like straw. You will see that I am in trouble here and don't know it yet.

This is where I discover I am in trouble and go back to the drawing board.

Fortunately my Gypsy was right there and I was able to make a few adjustments to the base of the card.  See how high that hat sits on his little head. Everything else is perfect but I just didn't like that look. Yes I will still use the card, but I just can't leave this design as is. It is not perfect here and I don't feel like I lived up to the challenge unless it was just right.

In no time at all I had it re-cut and re-prepped. I think I am finally ready to put this card together and I know it is perfect this time and can't wait to share my card with you.

Here area few close-ups of the card. I colored using my copic markers and really enjoyed that. I have to admit making the little face terrified me.... I just copied Bobby's and it worked.

Now isn't he handsome? I just love this little card. I don't think I will give him away though... I worked too hard to let him go! teehee  You know I say that but he will be going to someone I love I am sure.
This is a close up of his little face. I love the freckles.
Bobby's Card is on the left, mine on the right.
And the card in all it's glory. Now here is the challenge this week... I challenge you to make your own Scarecrow card! I would like you to try to make it on you own but HERE is the file if you need it. I will be giving away this adorable little stamp set to 2 lucky winners chose by Random.org. All you need to do is link your card by Friday 4PM on the 15th and the winner will be announced Saturday morning. I hope we see many many scarecrows.
I hope you enjoyed today's post, I know it was a challenge for me to complete and I am thrilled to be able to share it with you.
Thanks for your sweet sweet words of encouragement and please give a few wonderful words to Bobby too, our very own Sassy Dude from the Cricut Couple. Your comments inspire me to continue sharing with you. Have a blessed week and let's see those scarecrows.

Stampaganza and Stamp of the Month Cards...

Hey Everyone,
We are so excited to share our June Stamp Special with you. Choose any 2 acrylic stamp sets and get one of equal or lesser value absolutely free!! For every 3 stamp sets you choose - you will receive 1 of them free. There is no limit to the number you can buy. Remember those cute stamp sets you love and decided you didn't need? Now is the time to buy them! Have fun shopping!  Pay close attention as you go through this post because I have a couple of tips along the way that you may not know about.  This is the exact reason that I fell in love with Close to my Heart Stamps!!!

June 1-30 is STAMPAGANZA
My Acrylix Stamps: Did You Know?

My Acrylix® stamps are clearly the best in the stamping industry, giving you incredible creative freedom loaded with possibilities. Now is a great time for a refresher on our stamps with the beginning of June’s Stampaganza campaign—it’s buy two stamps, get one free.  You will love our stamps!
Did you know that most of the CTMH stamp sets coordinate with the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection?  This layout was created with that in mind.  Pay attention the the cute butterfly in this layout.
This layout uses the Love Clusters stamp set.  Notice the picture below!
Notice the outline on the butterfly with the picture of the actual stamp set? This means that you can cut this image with your Cricut machine and the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  When cut, you have the perfect shape to stamp!  When you receive your CTMH stamp set, it will even give you the perfect size of the image to cut so that every time is perfection!

•My Acrylix stamps are ready to use right out of the package—no cutting out, mounting, or applying stickers required. Just place the stamp on your block, apply ink, and you’re set.
•My Acrylix stamps and blocks are clear, making it easy to stamp in exactly the right spot.
•My Acrylix stamps can be used to create a variety of popular looks, including:
  base and shade stamping

This illustration shows layering with the beautiful Rosy Regards Stamp Set.  A little tip to keep in mind is that each CTMH stamp set comes with a little foam material sheet.  You would think that this is just there to protect the delicate detail of the stamp set.  You would be half right.  Hee! Hee!  If you pull this sheet with your stamp set and put it on your table and then lay your paper material you are stamping on over it, this cushion will provide you with an even more perfect impression of the stamp!  Cool, huh?
This beautiful set has two layers.  One is the background of the rose and the other is the edge detail, so using two beautiful inks creates an amazing layered effect to the rose!
Here is a picture of this beautiful set in it's entirety.

Something else that is amazing is creating a background paper with your stamp set!
This picture shows a beautiful black detail in the background paper.  This is something else that is very simple.  Just grab a piece of 12x12 paper and start stamping in a uniform fashion.
This lovely set is a little unexpected for such a grand background paper because the stamps used are just a tiny accessory to the grand scheme of this set.  The Simple Memories Stamp Set is gorgeous, but this was actually used in the picture above!

Even the smallest stamp in any set is important!  Just look at the beautiful layout below. There is a wonderful heart border running across the top.  This was simply stamped repeatedly with the little heart from the Love Life Stamp Set.  This set also coordinates with the cartridge!
Sponging on multiple inks for single-impression, multi-color images.
This gorgeous little card uses the Quick Cards - Shell Stamp Set!

Below is an amazing layout using Family Love Stamp Set!  Can you believe it's only $6.95?
Many My Acrylix stamps coordinate with Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge shapes, giving you lots of creative possibilities. Cut the shape on your Cricut® machine, stamp the image on the shape, and attach to your project! In the Idea Book, the images outlined in red coordinate with Cricut® shapes.
This beautiful card uses the A Blossom Stamp Set!  This stamp set is only $6.95!

Remember to order your stamps from June 1 to 30th to take advantage of this great savings. Just click HERE to start shopping!

Oh don't forget any time you order $50 you qualify for the stamp of the month for only $5 and June has the greatest little set I am sure you will want.  Here are a few things I made with mine...  I just got out the Dotty for you Papers (April and May Special) and the CTMH AP cartridge and started cutting card shapes and playing.  I was really happy with how they all turned out and now I have a great stash of cards ready to go in the mail.
Some, I stamped right on the paper, some I cut out and stamped.
I used colored pencils here and there too.
I took some of the tiny stamps and added embellishments to the round bird cuts.  I also used the little party hat and stamped and cut some with a craft knife to make little banners in the corners here and there!
A little twine here and there adds so much too.
I hope you like the cards and get your stamp set!  This is such a fun one, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it!  If you would like to see more of my designs, hop on over to Cricut Couple and visit!  We would love to have you!

This special starts today and when you buy any two stamp sets and you get one more stamp set of your choice for FREE!  Up to a $29.95 value!

Thanks so much for visiting today!
