Hello everyone this is Nicole from Scraptastic Memories.  You can find my blog here.  I recently made this journal using the new My Creations Canvas Journal.  This hardbound, stampable canvas cover journal has 80 lined pages to write in and measures 5" x 7".  This is a great journal and is very versatile to personalize in many different ways.
I chose to use the Love Blooms Stamp Set with a variety of different colors of ink from Close to my Heart.
I used Burlap Ribbon to wrap around the front binder of the book and cut the flowers from the Art Philosophy Cartridge.  The paper leaves were also stamped from the Love Blooms Stamp set.
Here is the back view of the journal.  This was very easy to make and I am so glad I gave it a try.  I will definetely be making more of these to give as gifts!
Thank you for stoping by and if you have any questions please feel free to email me at

Santa and You LO

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a wonderful day:)  Leah from Paperblossoms here posting on this merry day with a LO of my daughter sitting on Santa's lap. Back in late Novemeber while shopping at Walmart they had Santa there and were taking pictures for free! I used lots of Cricut cuts and CTMH stamps on this one. The trees were cut with the Art Philosphy cartridge and stamped with the coordinating stamp set. The fun snowflake border was also cut off the AP cartridge. I recommend cutting it at 1 3/4" or larger. The flourish stamps are from the Love Life set and the title mat was cut with the AP cartridge and stamped with it's matching stamp and then I added the word "Santa" with A Typeface alpha and the "and you" came from A Card Word Puzzle. Be sure to stop by the shopping page and do a little post holiday therapy:)  Thanks for dropping by!

I'm so embarrassed!

Hi folks,

Ian here, from A Newbie Crafter.   I recently traveled home for the holidays and tried to get as much accomplished before I left.  I swore I made something for today's post, but can't find the picture on my phone.  I am so embarrassed!  So, there is unfortunately no posting today.  I'm so sorry!

I hope that you are all enjoying spending time with friends and family.  It's the most wonderful time of the year.  I will owe you TWO projects the next time I post again.  Again, I'm so sorry.  However - the new catalogs are out and I've heard some GREAT things about the products in this book!  Get ready!

Holiday Goodie Gable Box

Hello fellow crafters! Looks like we all survived 12/12/12! :-) I actually participated in an online class by Big Picture Scrapbooking and Stacy Julian called 12/12/12! We had a blast!  You can also view this project on Sheila's blog: SHE'S A SASSY LADY and over at my blog:  JAVA JEN CREATIONS.

Today I chose to make a cute gable box from the Close to My Heart Artiste cartridge. If you don't already have a CTMH consultant, feel free to visit my website:!

Here are the details:
This box is located on pg. 37 of the cartridge handbook and on pg. 7 in the instruction book.
I sized the box on my Gypsy at 4.41"H.
The tag is also on pg. 37 and is sized at 4"H.
Paper is from the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday Collection (which I LOVE!)
Megan Elizabeth Sparkle Lightz
"Merry & Bright" are cut from a clear overlay in the Simple Stories collection.

This collection might just be my favorite Holiday set!

Some views of the box in progress:

Ready to decorate

Love these Sparkle Lightz! They can be purchased at Above Rubies Studio.

All put together! I think this box would be a great way to gift some homemade candies!

Thanks for stopping by today! Take the time this season to enjoy your families and friends!

Have a blessed holiday season!

Post it Note Holders

Hello!!  This is Evelyn from My Little Craft Blog showing you some Post it Note Holders I recently made for Christmas gifts for my co-workers.  I used the My Mind's Eye Beautiful Winter paper pack from a year or two ago, along with the card from page 30 of the Art Philosophy cartridge.

Using my Gypsy, I chose the card and sized it to 3.25 high x 6.93 wide.  The card has rounded edges, and since I wanted to make a post it note holder, I didn't want that round corner in the middle (it looks like a triangle in the picture below) so I also choose a rectangle from that same cartridge, and sized it to 3.25 high.  I used the rectangle to cover the round edge in the middle of the card:

Then I selected both, grouped and welded them.  Here is the preview:

You can see the red line shows that it will now cut in a straight line.

I cut the shift decorative layer (medallion/frame) at 2.25 inches.  I placed that layer over the cut out on the front of the card.  It looked like this:

I had to use tiny scissors to cut all the little parts that you could see.  I did this on two of the post it note holders (the ones in the very top photo) then I tried something easier!!

I cut the snowflake off the base card file --

-- and covered it with a square that I rounded the edges:

This is what the front looks like:

Instead of seeing the color of the post it notes inside, you see the back of the patterned paper, which in this case is white.  I think it looks just as good!

I'd love it if you came and visited me at my blog, My Little Craft Blog!  Happy Holidays!

A Little Gift For Someone You Care For

Every year I have a heard time coming up with a little special something to make for all the people that I care for but don't really exchange with.... You know the list; teachers, co-workers, Sunday School leaders, neighbors just to name a few. You can't spend a lot of money but you want to make sure these people know you care and are thinking of them for Christmas. This year I purchased these great little tins at the Paper Mart and put together this great little gift.

Now wasn't that easy. And there is an unlimited number to papers and designs you could use as sell as goodies to place in the inside of each little tin. All you need to do is get some candy and paper a little adhesive and you are good to go.

Here is the tin that I had a hard time with there was just so much glitter on the paper that the little papers did not want to stick to the candy wrappers.... I used regular tape and that seemed to hold.
Here is the patterned paper with the Ho Ho Ho stamp, it turned out so cute. I jsut love the papers don't you?

The red looked so dramatic and looked very cute with the glittery sleighs on the paper, and don't you love the contrast with the white snowflake heat embossed on that tag?
This is a photo is of the three colors that I made. They all looked so nice. Now all I have to do is wrap them.
Thanks for joining us today, I hope you enjoyed my little gift idea. Thank you for your sweet sweet words of encouragement. You comments inspire me to continue sharing with you.

Personalized Note Cards Make Great Christmas Gifts

Good morning. I am so excited to share with you today and I have a great little project that I am making for little Christmas gifts... personalized note cards! This was so much fun that when I finished I actually made a couple of cards for myself too! It was great to spend time in my craft room!

Now wasn't that easy and I got to try heat embossing for the first time! I loved it and I know I will be using that technique alot in the future as I love how finished it looked. Oh I have to tell you as I noticed I never said in the video... Mother is fine, terrible cold and sore throat the Dr. prescribed antibiotics and told her to follow up at her own doctor in a couple of days as precautionary to make sure it didn't go to pneumonia. Boy the calls kept going long into the evening too.

This is how the card looked straight on. Unfortunately the pictures don't show how shimmery it actually is. The cards turned out awesome and I used the same papers for my own... I just couldn't help it! LOL The litttle monogram is from Close To My Heart and is only $2.95.

Another close up. See how the base of the card had little holes cut in it. The papers were from My Mind's Eye Christmas stack and they were so shimmery.
And this is how it looked all wrapped up. I used satin ribbon to wrap it up knowing she could use the ribbon with her own crafting.
Thanks for joining me today. I hope you like today's project. Thanks for your sweet sweet words of encouragement. Your comments inspire me to continue sharing with you.
