Bobby here with Cricut Couple. I have such a fun card to share with you today! This is actually a very simple card to make. This is a 6x6 card made using the Bee Happy Stamp Set. What you will need for this card is one piece of craft stock cut 6" x 12", Three colored paper pieces cut 5 3/4" x 5 3/4" (two in one color and one in another), a piece of patterned paper cut at 2" x 2", another one cut at 1" x 2" and finally two pieces of colonial white paper cut at 1 1/2" x 1 1/2".
Ink the all of the edges with Cocoa Ink and then stamp your image. Color in one with watercolor pencils or markers. Shadow the outer edge with the other. Carefully cut out the colored design. With your 6"x6" card, on the cover, use a ruler and run it from corner to corner. With a pencil, draw a line from 1 1/2" from each corner. This will put an X shape on the front of the card. On the inside of the cover, use adhesive on the edges of both squares you cut from the other two papers. Do not add it to the center of these shapes because it will cause problems with the opening. Adhere these two pieces on top of each other and to the inside of the cover of the card. Leave the card open and using a craft knife, cut the "X" shape on the front of the card completely through the three layers of paper. You may have to cut a couple of times. Using a metal ruler as a guide will really help with this. Curl open the tabs that are now cut and secure them with a brad to the outer edge. Secure with a brad of your choice. When done, put all of your inside layers together and place them in the opening of the front.
Once you have that all done, stamp the sentiment to the front and the inside.
I used a little bit of Liquid Glass to look like honey was trickling out of the bee hive and a little stardust glitter glue on the wings. This is such a fun card and I really hope you all like it. Thanks so much for visiting today! Please let me know what you think!
